Serving Him Daily

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. John 15:5 KJV

As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord

Christopher

October 4, 1999 was the first in a series of days that would forever change my life. That was the day I met Christopher. Unknown to me at the time, I had just met my future husband and a man that I would come to respect and love more then anyone or anything else. The one time in my life I wasn't looking for someone and there he was! In December of the same year, we made it official, and became husband and wife.

Here we are eight years and three kids later. We have grown together in so many ways. We have grown because of eachother in so many ways. Despite the hard days and the trials we have been through, I would never trade even one day with Chris for anything else in the world. He is my sanity and my stability. God uses him daily to teach me how to be a better person. God has given me a man that I respect and adore. He has given me a man that I can care for in ways that are so deep and so overwhelming, at times even I don't fully understand the depths of my feelings for him.

Chris motivates me and challenges me. He is what drives me to be a better wife and mother. He is what makes me want to be a better me, so I can make a difference in the lives of those around me. The list of men that I have a deep profound respect for isn't a long one, but you can be sure Chris is right up there at the top.

Many have thought I was crazy for marrying a man I only knew for two months. At the time, I thought I was too! LOL But after all these years, you can bet I'd do it all over in a heartbeat if that meant I could be with Chris forever.

1 Corinthians 13 is not just a bunch of verses for us. It is our standard for which we measure our relationship. If we don't fill Gods definition of Love for eachother then we might as well quit trying because time and time again, time has proven, Gods version of Love lasts....humans twists on love do not. I love my husband more than anything, it was a choice I made long ago, and a habit I do daily now!
