At the age of nine, with the help of my brother, I gave my life to Jesus. At the time I wasn't fully aware of what that would come to mean in my life or how much it would impact the path I would ultimately choose to take. I was baptized when I was sixteen years old, a public confession of my faith in Jesus and my allegiance to the God of the universe and my creator. What does all this mean?? To put it simply it means that I believe.....
There is one God of the universe. I reject the pagan beliefs of many Gods. I believe this one God created all that we see (and all that we have not yet seen, heaven and hell).
The God of the universe exsists as a triune being. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Jesus came down from heaven to be our perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins. Without the shed blood of Christ, not one of us would be able to be reconciled with God and would therefore be condemned to hell. Sin cannot exsist in Heaven and the fallen nature of Man needed a savior to take our place and pay the price of death to release us from the bondage of sin.
I believe there is only ONE way to heaven, faith in Jesus Christ. The idea that there are many ways that lead to heaven is a lie from Satan himself! The Bible clearly states that "wide is the path to destruction and many will enter it, narrow is the way to life and few will follow it"
There is a place called Heaven and there is a place called Hell. Those that reject Jesus and his sacrifice for us will condemn themselves to an eternity in the lake of fire known as Hell. Those that accept Jesus and his sacrifice will be saved from eternal torment and will reside with God in Heaven for all eternity after leaving earth.
